As a party of 4 motorcyclists visiting world super bikes in Assen the hotel location was 15 mins away , hotel staff very helpfull and friendly . Rooms were ok double room with ensuite tv phone , not the Ritz but very practical would stay again , and also good value .

Carpark security for motorcycles but hotel staff allowed us to park our bikes in the function room .

The value for money at this hotel was great, with well-equipped rooms and a good selection of English TV channels. The location was convenient, with free parking and a bowling alley nearby. The staff, especially the colleague at the reception on the afternoon shift, went above and beyond to help us, even with our electric car charging problems.

The morning meal could be improved with more variety or options.

Located in a quaint town with friendly locals and beautiful surroundings. The breakfast buffet was varied with freshly baked pastries and delicious coffee. The hotel also provided complimentary champagne for New Year's Eve, which made for a memorable celebration.

The room was outdated and had a musty smell. The bed was uncomfortable and the linens were old as well.

Convenient location, easy to find; quiet area; large and green terrirory; free car parking available; rather good breakfast; the hotel staff is friendly, but...

...the staff is friendly but rather incompetent and lazy: once it took 10 minutes to get a room key at the reception (very simple task, isn't it?), and the billing/ payment procedure took about 30 minutes and they have finally made a bill with mistake (that was a real disaster!). The hotel needs a serious renovation, especially inside. No minibar or refrigerator in the room. Some lights were not working in the room. Sharp edges of a tiles in the bathroom.

The hotel's decoration had a lovely charm, with cozy seating areas and elegant furnishings that reminded me of a traditional Dutch home. It felt comfortable and inviting, perfect for senior guests like myself. The general areas were well-maintained, and I particularly appreciated the ease of accessibility throughout the hotel. As a senior, it's important to have a hotel that caters to our needs, and I found that Hotel Hoogeveen provided the necessary facilities and services to make my stay comfortable.

I would only ask for a better vacation experience for senior people if the staff could be more attentive and understanding of our needs. Sometimes, it felt as if they were too busy or focused on other responsibilities to fully cater to the needs of their senior guests.

The rooms at Hotel Hoogeveen are absolutely amazing! They go above and beyond to provide ultimate comfort and convenience. From the private indoor hot tubs to the laptop-friendly workspaces, everything is designed with the guest's needs in mind. The separate sitting areas are perfect for unwinding after a long day of work. As a business traveler, these touches really made my stay enjoyable.

While I loved everything about the rooms at Hotel Hoogeveen, I personally found the box-spring bedding to be a little uncomfortable. However, I understand that others may have different preferences and still enjoy it.

Located near the hospital and right next to the highway, this hotel is ideal for a short stay. Despite previous reviews, the service was good and the renovated areas looked modern. The room was not very spacious, but had nice facilities and a comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet was satisfactory.

The hotel building and some of the facilities were quite run down and need renovation.

Very nice and clean. Spacious rooms - one with an extra bed. Free parking on the premises. We stayed one night in two rooms at a very good rate. Very good location close to the highway. We did not use the restaurant but McDonalds is not far away.
